Specializing in High Performance
Quality & Horsepower
Thunder Works was created and is run by Marv Grogan, a master machinist and engine-rebuilder with almost 30 years' experience.
Thunder Works is located in Victorville, California, (literally two blocks off the I-15 Freeway) and is easily accessible to all of Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona.
Experience & Diversity:
A Winning Combination
for Thunder Works' Customers
Marv Grogan's experience covers the spectrum of gasoline (and alcohol) powered performance: domestic big blocks and small blocks; foreign/imports; and all racing applications whether drag, round, or dirt track. Not to forget the off-road enthusiasts - desert racing, rock crawling, etc.; Oh, and all the inboard marine engines. And then there's the antiques and vintage restorations. Along with... (you get the idea).
Why so many different aspects for one little shop and one master machinist? Because quality machining applies to all things high performance. Doesn't matter if it's a blown big block Chevy or a 2JZ Toyota 6-cylinder; a Ford V8 Flathead or Model A (or B or C!) to a 520i BMW.
The common denominators here are simple: Knowledge, machining experience, and attention to detail.
In other words, Thunder Works.
Like the weather here in Southern California hasn't told us THAT. We're seeing a lot more boat engines (our business' first sign of spring), along with engines for customers' summer toys (street rods, race engines, etc.). With the bugs and rattlesnakes waking up, Spring has sprung and summer ain't far behind.
Memorial Day is going to be here before you know it, and unless you want to be caught on the side-lines (shore, or in the race-track stands) watching everyone else have fun, NOW's the time to get your project in so it can get scheduled and done in time for the calender to hit summer officially.
And lest ye forget: Escrow accounts are available if you don't want to kill your credit card balance, or give your spouse a coronary when the bill comes.
What's not 'green' about reusing and re-machining your old engine? You improve your engine's performance and emissions; you positively affect your carbon-footprint by reusing an existing product (your vehicle), rather than buying one that has to be manufactured (mostly off-shore!); and you help the economy by utilizing small business (you know, all the REST of the country NOT bailed out by the government).
